Emig’s Entrance at Sacred Heart Academy
There are many new teachers at Sacred Heart Academy this year. One of the new teachers is Ms. Katie Emig, although she is not a new face to many students as she served as a full-time sub at SHA in the 2015-16 school year.
Ms. Emig was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Although, she spent the majority of her life growing up in Melbourne, Florida, where she went to Satellite High School.
Ms. Emig attended Florida State University for her undergrad, then University of Central Florida for graduate school.
Of teaching, Ms. Emig said, “The biggest reward in teaching is watching girls who struggle with math finally make the connection. I love seeing them become more confident in their skills!”
Ms. Emig is a fantastic math teacher and we are so happy to have here at Sacred Heart!
